Investigation launched after cyclist, 56, dies in hospital following incident near primary school

Police are looking to determine the circumstances surrounding an incident which led to the death of a man on a bicycle.

Nottinghamshire Police crash investigators are appealing for witnesses after the incident which happened on Wensor Avenue, near Beeston Fields Primary School, at around 3.30pm on Friday, February 14.

A 56-year-old man who was on the bike was taken to hospital with serious injuries at the time and police say he has now sadly died.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "We are asking anyone who saw what happened and any motorists who were in the area at the time and may have captured the incident on dashcam footage to get in touch.

"If you saw the incident or believe you may have captured the incident on dashcam footage, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident 559 of 12 March 2020."
