A two-year-old has sadly died at an address in Gateshead, police have confirmed.
Officers were called to a house in Gateshead at around 8.40am on Saturday, September 25, after receiving a report of an unresponsive child at the address.
Sadly, the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northumbria Police have confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the death.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "At around 8.40am on Saturday, September 25, police received a report from the ambulance service of an unresponsive two-year old at an address in Gateshead.
"Officers attended the scene but tragically the child was pronounced dead.
"An investigation into the death is being carried out at this time."
