Investigation launched after child dies in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim

An investigation has been launched after the death of a child in Co Antrim.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place to establish the cause of the death in the Fernagh Drive area of Newtownabbey on Sunday 15 December, Belfast Live reports.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a child in the Fernagh Drive area on Sunday, 15th December.
