Investigation launched after 19-year-old man stabbed in north Manchester

Detectives are appealing for information after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in north Manchester.

Officers were called at around 7.15pm yesterday (12 May) after the victim arrived at hospital with a stab wound injury.

It is believed the man had been stabbed around 7pm in the Blackley area, police said.

The man is understood to have been wounded at a property on Broomfield Avenue before making his way to Market Street and Dommett Street.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Officers were called around 7.15pm on Wednesday 12 May 2021 after a 19-year-old man self-presented at hospital with a stab wound injury.

"Initial enquiries have since established that the man had been stabbed around 7pm in the Blackley area.

"It is believed the incident occurred at an address on Broomfield Avenue before the male made his way to Market Street and Dommett Street.

"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made."
