Investigation into tragic Ingoldmells caravan park fire 'will go on for some time'

Lincolnshire Police has said the investigation into the fire that caused the death of two-year-old Louisiana-Brooke Broadley will be ongoing 'for some time.'

Louisiana, along with her mother and three siblings, were staying at Sealands Caravan Park in Ingoldmells when a fire started in their caravan.

Natasha and her three eldest children survived the blaze after being treated at Boston Pilgrim Hospital, Lincolnshire Live reports.

A 'methodical and meticulous' investigation into how the fire started is being carried out by officers and specialists from Lincolnshire Police, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and the Forensic Science Service.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: "We will not be providing any more updates as the investigation is ongoing still and will be for some time.

"We hope to establish how the fire has started and the cause of the blaze.

"It is painstaking work and there will be forensic tests ongoing, all of which take time for any conclusion to be drawn.

"We are treating the tragic death of the 2-year-old girl as unexplained at this time."

Detective Inspector Jo Fortune, Senior Investigating Officer at Lincolnshire Police, added: "Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of those involved in this tragic incident and I send our condolences.

"We will do everything we can to establish what happened."
