Police are continuing to investigate after a toddler was reportedly found 'locked in a dark room with just a bowl of water' at a flat in Salford.
Officers were called to the property on Bolton Road on October 3 to reports of an 'unaccompanied child'.
Sources told the Manchester Evening News that the child had been discovered on his own in a small, dark room that was reportedly 'the size of a cell'.
He was left with just a bowl of water.

According to GMP, the boy was not injured and was handed into the care of Salford council's children's services.
Two people - a man aged 32 and a 30-year-old woman - were arrested at the scene shortly afterwards on suspicion of child neglect.
The force confirmed they remain under investigation as enquiries continue.
In a statement at the time, GMP said: "Police were called shortly after 10.40am on Thursday, October 3 following a report of an unaccompanied child at an address on Bolton Road.
"Officers attended and a man aged 32 and a woman aged 30 were arrested on suspicion of child neglect at the scene a short time later.
"They have been released under investigation.
"The child was uninjured and is in the care of children’s services.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
