An investigation has been launched after two Primary 1 pupils walked off school grounds in Falkirk.
The youngsters' disappearance sparked a missing persons search after the children vanished from St Margaret’s Primary School in Polmont on Monday March, 22.
They left the playground during a morning interval.
Now the school and council bosses are trying to reassure parents after the incident.
A Falkirk Council spokesman said: "Two P1 pupils left school grounds at the morning interval.
"Staff immediately started a search and the Police and parents were informed.
"The two boys were found shortly afterwards.
"The school has fully investigated the incident and has taken steps to seek to prevent a recurrence."
