Inverleith Row crash: Road was closed after accident near Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh

A road near Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Gardens was closed off this morning after a crash.

The accident happened on Inverleith Row near to the entrance to the gardens at around 8am.

Police say that they were called after a car collided with another parked car. There were no injuries.

Edinburgh Travel News confirmed that the route was shut off to motorists.

The closure was in place both directions near Inverleith Terrace, and diversions were introduced.

Lothian Buses said services 8, 23 and 27 were diverted via Inverleith Terrace, Arboretum Place and Inverleith Place until further notice.

Police confirmed that the road was reopened around 9.30am.
