He says his culinary passion dates back to cooking pancakes as a child with his father in their Glasgow home. He plans to settle down with his wife and children in the Highlands.

Inver Lodge Hotel is a 21-bedroom, family-owned property on the legendary North Coast 500 route. The hotel has three deep fishing lochs rich in salmon and trout, and its s teak, salmon and game come direct from the owner’s private estates.

Inver Lodge general manager Janet C Boyd said: “We are delighted to have Stuart leading our kitchen team. Our restaurant offers hearty, wholesome dining in the Highlands of Scotland.”
