Introducing Stay In: Our guide to keep you entertained through lockdown

Here we are again...

Nearly two weeks into the New Year and 2021 is already feeling a bit, well, 2020.

With the country now in a third national lockdown after months of varying local coronavirus restrictions, once again we’re being urged to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.

Normally, our What's On pages are all about showing you the best places to eat, drink and generally go out and have a good time.

For now though, our Stay In section is here to help keep you entertained during another long stretch spent indoors.

For the time being, we'll be focusing our attention on ways to help you stay entertained at home - from the best film and TV recommendations to live streamed gigs and theatre shows you can watch from your sofa.

From fitness routines you can do at home to cooking and baking ideas (place your bets now on what’ll become the next banana bread), we'll be bringing you daily ideas to help you get through the latest lockdown.

We'll also continue to champion our local nightlife by showing you alternative ways we can all support our local restaurants, bars and venues during this difficult time - including with our Big Up Bristol initiative.

With schools shut again, we know many of you will be juggling working from home - or going out to work as a key worker - with childcare and homeschooling. With that in mind, we'll be publishing plenty of family-focused content that will help you to find that balance.

You can also expect plenty of fun stuff to help take your mind off things, from quizzes and activities to good old-fashioned nostalgia.

In what is another isolating and worrying time for so many of us, it's more important than ever to stay connected with one another. And that's what we're here for.

If there's anything you'd like to see from us over the coming weeks, drop us a line and let us know.

You can email us at bristolpostnews@localworld.co.uk, tweet us @BristolLive or get involved over on our Facebook page.

You can also sign up to our what's on newsletter for regular ideas and inspiration to your inbox.
