A Japan Airlines male copilot was arrested Sunday by British police because a breathalyzer test revealed he had nine times the country's legal alcohol limit in his system prior to his scheduled flight, the company said Thursday.
Because of the arrest of the copilot, 42, flight JL044 from London to Haneda Airport took off about an hour behind schedule and was operated by two pilots, according to the airline.
