The band Interpol have been trapped on their tour bus for almost two days while travelling to a concert in Toronto.
The band had set off from Columbus, Ohio, on Monday night, but on Tuesday morning ran into a snowstorm just outside Buffalo, New York, on highway I-90.
The weather there has been particularly harsh. At least five people have been reported to have been killed, with record low temperatures and snowdrifts up to five feet deep.
Interpol cancelled Tuesday night’s concert in Toronto, posting on their website: “Our bus is trapped in a snowstorm just outside of Buffalo. We haven’t moved our position on the road in over nine hours.”

Three hours ago, Kessler tweeted:
Still trapped yo! Haven't really moved in 30 hours and we've been on the bus for nearly 40 hours. Nutso. Never seen anything like it.-DK
