International working group of 18 countries suspends negotiations on export credits: statement

A working group of 18 countries has suspended negotiations on export credits, citing significantly divergent positions among members and troubles with transparency, but said it remains open to a high-level meeting in a year and to discussing proposals at the vice-ministerial level.

The International Working Group on Export Credits is made up of Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey and the United States.
