Every day is a great day to celebrate amazing and inspirational women, but International Women’s Day gives us an extra reason to do just that.
Monday, March 8 is a global celebration to recognise women’s achievements, raise awareness of inequality and increase visibility for women.
To mark the occasion, we have pulled together 62 uplifting, powerful and inspirational stories of women across Ireland, from journalists on our titles Irish Mirror, Irish Star, Dublin Live, RSVP, Belfast Live and Cork Beo.
There are businesswomen, sportswomen, community leaders, cancer survivors, activists, campaigners, social media stars and lots more stories of overcoming adversity and leading the way.
