Thailand's powerful ship technology will be showcased during the "Ship Technology For The Next Decade: Ship Tech IV" at the Peach Convention Centre, Royal Cliff Beach Hotel in Pattaya, Chon Buri, from Nov 15-17, 10am-6pm.

Held by the Naval Dockyard Department, the exhibition will reveal the future of ship technology in the transportation, armament and security systems that positions the navy at the forefront of the regional fleets, as well as gather the largest collection of local and international modern ship technology including the latest combat systems with high performance machinery and equipment.

With at least 58 countries set to present their related products at more than 300 booths, the event will serve as an international platform for knowledge exchange, technology and ideas regarding investment in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), business matching, trade collaboration and joint venture.

There also will be a special lecture series on investment in the EEC on all three days with the speakers, including Deputy Prime Minister Dr Somkid Jatursripitak; Industry Minister Uttama Savayana; Deputy Commerce Minister Sontirat Sontjirawong; Dhanin Chearavanont, senior chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group; and Dr Kanit Sansubhan, secretary-general of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office.

The Ship Tech IV exhibition is part of the 10-day "International Fleet Review 2017" organised by the Royal Thai Navy to mark the 50th anniversary of Asean's founding. It will feature many activities at different venues across Pattaya from Nov 13-22.

Another highlight will be the "Air Race 1 World Cup" at U-Tapao International Airport in Rayong province from Nov 17-19. Eight aeroplanes will be racing against each other at speeds up to 450km per hour to cross the finish line.
