Interception turns into offensive touchdown on wild Texas HS play

Just when you thought you had seen everything …

In a Texas high school playoff game over the weekend, Stephensville High School scored one of the most unique touchdowns at any level of football.

To set the stage, quarterback Ryder Lambert faced a 1st-and-10 from the 33 of Lyndon Baines Johnson Early College High School.

Lambert threw a deep ball into triple coverage. The pass was intercepted by a Jaguars defensive back. Bad news for Lambert and Stephensville, right?

Wrong.

Watch as Stephensville’s Coy Eakin catches the LBJ defender from behind as he starts to return the pick.

Time for an offensive player to use the Peanut Punch, made famous by NFL DB Charles”Peanut” Tillman.

The ball flutters into the arms of Stephenville receiver Kallan Kimbrough was also at the 10-yard-line. Kimbrough finds his way to the end zone for a touchdown in the 38-21 victory.
