Interactive map shows everywhere you can find a beer garden in Scotland

With most of Scotland counting down to the big date, April 26, when we'll once again be able to grab a pint with friends, it's likely we'll all be looking for somewhere to go.

Thankfully, a new website is aiming to take the hassle out of finding a beer garden when the hospitality industry opens up again after being closed for over four months.

In just under a fortnight, we'll all be able to enjoy a drink outside at venues across Scotland until 10pm, and with demand as high as it's likely to be, it's likely most Scots will have to keep their options open.

That's where the new interactive map from 'Bevvi' comes in.

The new site shows all of the sites you can find in Scottish cities like Glasgow (Bevvi)

The app, which is available for download on Apple and Android devices, allows users to pinpoint the exact location of all the beer gardens near them.

The innovative new app also allows you to arrange meet-ups and even tag your mates to make sure they don't miss out.

With around 1,000 beer gardens now on the map, you can discover some hidden gems from across Scotland and keep up to date with which of your favourite pubs and bars are going to be open when restrictions ease.

Speaking about the app, Tom Whale, co-founder of Bevvi said: “We have created an app that will help you organise and socialise in a post-Covid world.

"If you are having a beer in the pub, you tap the Bevvi button to let your mates know – we all know the spontaneous nights are the best."

Though the First Minister has yet to confirm the finer details, six people from three households are expected to be allowed to sit in beer gardens, but Scots are being asked to an announcement on the reopening of pubs during a coronavirus press briefing on April 20.
