Interactive charts for each county in the Republic of Ireland show how the coronavirus has grown, surged and slowed since March

These interactive charts show the rate coronavirus has grown in each county in Ireland since back in March.

Using data from the Department of Health since all the way back on March 16 to June 1 - the Irish Mirror charts show how each county has fared in the pandemic.

Cases began to grow slowly in mid-March before seeing the biggest jump near the end of April.

As we reached May the numbers began to slow again and are currently nearing a standstill in most counties in Ireland.

Dublin had the most cases from the very start but you can see from each counties columns that most had times of big jumps.

Cavan and Kildare in particular both saw sudden surges in their numbers.

Here's a look at how the coronavirus has progressed in each county in the Republic of Ireland since March 16 to the start of June.

Leo Varadkar gives 3 assurances on the pandemic unemployment payment

Dr Tony Holohan said it took "strict measures" to achieve this.

Phase two starts Monday

From Monday, retail stores will reopen, playgrounds and summer camps will return, albeit with limited capacity, while the number of those allowed to attend funerals will be extended to 25.

Shopping centres can come back on June 15.

People can travel within their own county, or within 20km of their home, as the Government changes its slogan from "stay home", to "stay local".

Cocooners will be allowed have a small number of people visit their home for the first time in months.

And to the joy of many ears, pubs that can serve food will be allowed reopen at the end of the month.

"Phase Two +" as Mr Varadkar called it.
