Inter Milan 'to return for third Manchester United player' and more transfer rumours

Inter Milan could return to Manchester United to sign another player in January, reports in Italy say.

Having already signed Romelu Lukaku permanently and Alexis Sanchez in a loan deal, Calciomercato say new Inter boss Antonio Conte wants to add Nemanja Matic to his side.

Matic has only featured once from the bench this season, with Scott McTominay preferred in midfield. However, the Serbian featured for his country last week and is set to do so again on Tuesday.

It seems Matic's opportunities at United could be limited this season, so Conte is reportedly lining up a €25million bid for the player who moved to United from Chelsea.

If the move was to happen, it would see Matic reunite with Conte, after the pair won the Premier League in 2016/17 at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez has also made a decision on his United future, with reports in Italy saying he has no plans to return to Old Trafford.

The attacker is on loan at Inter Milan and would still have two years of his contract at the end of his loan spell but Corriere dello Sport claim Sanchez wants to extend his stay with Inter beyond this term.

It is claimed the Chilean is already ‘dreaming’ of wearing the Inter shirt as a permanent player during the 2020/21 campaign.

Finally, Benfica’s Florentino Luis is reportedly on the radar of United and rivals Man City according to reports in Portugal.

A Bola  say members of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s backroom staff were in attendance at Benfica’s 4-0 win at Braga last Sunday to watch the 20-year-old midfielder who attracted transfer interest this summer.

The report also claims the United scouts were watching centre-back Ruben Dias, who continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.

However, if United are interested in Luis it’s possible they could face competition from City as Record  report Guardiola has instructed his scouts to keep a close eye on the 20-year-old.
