Inter Milan have confirmed that Ivan Perisic has asked to leave the club amid reported interest from Arsenal.
Perisic, 29, has been linked with a potential January transfer move to Arsenal in recent days, though Unai Emery revealed earlier this month that the Gunners are currently restricted to loan deals due to a tight budget.
Croatia international Perisic was repeatedly linked with a switch to Manchester United while Jose Mourinho was manager, with the club's hierarchy thought to have overruled the Portuguese coach's request to sign the winger due to his age.
Following reports that Perisic had handed in a transfer request, Inter director Guiseppe Marotta told Sky in Italy: "Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days.
"We will listen to the request of Perisic, he has put in a transfer request; we must try to satisfy him but also respect the value of him."

Perisic was left out of Inter's 1-0 defeat at Torino on Sunday, and Nerazzurri coach Luciano Spalletti said that while the World Cup runner-up wanted to leave, no suitable offers had been made.
"Players can say what they want but they are professionals, so for him to leave, a club needs to be there to buy him and they need to recognise his value," said Spalletti.
"If he doesn't want to play, then of course he's going to be left out."
