Inter Milan have tabled a new bid of £64.7million plus add-ons for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
United rejected Inter's opening bid of £54m several weeks ago, but the Italian club have come back with an improved offer.
It is understood the new offer is an initial fee of £64.7m, with add-ons and performance-related clauses potentially taking the total figure to £75m.
Although United value Lukaku at £80m, there is a desire to get a deal done as quickly as possible, to enable them to bring in a replacement before the transfer window shuts tomorrow.

Lukaku went AWOL for the second day running yesterday, having failed to show up for training at United's AON Training Complex.
The 26-year-old Belgium international trained with Anderlecht Under-18s on Tuesday, but was not at his former club yesterday.
Lukaku is staying away from United in the hope of forcing through a move, after falling out of favour with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United want a deal for Lukaku done as swiftly as possible and may compromise on their initial valuation if it means offloading him and enabling them to sign a replacement.
One other option for United is a player-plus-cash deal involving Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic going the other way.

Juve would need to pay United in the region of £60m for Lukaku, with Croatia World Cup star Mandzukic valued at £20m.
But Inter remains Lukaku's first choice and there is hope on his side and United's that a deal can be done to end the ongoing saga over the forward's future.
