Inter Milan hope to buy now and pay later with £63million Romelu Lukaku transfer bid

Inter Milan are planning a 'buy now, pay later' style deal in an attempt to sign Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United .

Serie A giants Inter are hoping to agree a deal with United for the Belgian hit man after he had a disappointing second season with the Red Devils last year.

Inter are ready to sign Lukaku on a two-year loan transfer, which would include a £9million fee, but with an obligation to sign him for a further £54m at the end of deal, according to Sky Sports.

United are thought to be unimpressed with the idea of waiting for cash, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still keen to keep hold of his No.1 striker.

Lukaku's agent Federico Pastorello has already met with Inter in Milan - although is representing a number of clients in the city - with the San Siro-based outfit free to sign players again from June 30, after a FFP related transfer ban.

But speaking upon his exit, he also confirmed that the subject of Lukaku had come up.

“Lukaku is a dream, a difficult one to make happen as such," Pastorello said. "But I believe nothing is impossible.

"Yes, he's publicly expressed his plans and desires. We'll see what happens.

"Lukaku is a dream, a difficult one to make happen as such, but I believe nothing is impossible. It's not impossible and Inter is trying hard."

Lukaku, who joined United from Everton two summers ago for £75m, only managed 12 goals in 32 Premier League appearances last season, and was often overshadowed by Marcus Rashford.

Lukaku recently praised Conte, who is tasked with overhauling former club  Juventus  in Serie A, declaring: "It's good that Conte went to Inter, for me he is the best coach in the world.

"I am a big Serie A fan, those close to me know that I have always wanted to play in the English league and in the Italian one: I love Italy."
