Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic is reportedly seeking talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his future amid reports that he could leave.
With Ander Herrera declining a new contract to sign a five year deal at PSG and the future of Paul Pogba unresolved, United arguably need some midfield reinforcements this summer. Newcastle's Sean Longstaff is a target, but would not be considered a like-for-like replacement for the likes of Matic or Herrera given his relative inexperience in the Premier League.
So United fans will be interested to read ESPN claim that Inter Milan will offer £10million plus Radja Nainggolan for Matic, whose form faded last season.
Inter have been strongly linked with striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, but a reported opening bid of £9m upfront and £53m to be paid after a two year loan deal was said to have been rejected.
Meanwhile, United are again linked with Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso according to reports in Spain.
ElDesmarque Sevilla are reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are ‘best placed’ to sign Lo Celso - despite interest from Tottenham. Spurs have of course already signed Lyon midfield Tanguy Ndombele, who was also linked to United before the move went through.
However, a conflicting report from Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo says that Lo Celso’s transfer to the North London club is ‘80% complete’.
Finally, Zinedine Zidane is keen for Paul Pogba to hand in a transfer request at United, according to reports.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo suggest Real are ready to launch a bid for the World Cup winner but they want Pogba to put the wheels in motion first.
Pogba has already suggested a move to Real would be a 'dream transfer' and later stated he is ready for a 'new challenge'.
