Insurance firm HI Commercial moves offices to ergo business centre

Insurance firm HI Commercial has kicked off the New Year with an office move to Hessle’s ergo business centre.

HI Commercial, launched last year by Hedon Insurance to focus on corporate work, has brought its team of advisors under one roof, having previously operated from branches in Cottingham and Hull.

The business has now joined a thriving network at the ergo centre, at the Bridgehead Business Park in East Yorkshire.

Luke Byron, Director at HI Commercial, said: “Following our new brand launch in the summer of 2019, the team had been working from separate branches and we were on the lookout for the ideal office premises, with location and facilities being key decision making factors for us.

“ergo ticks all of the boxes with fantastic facilities for us as a business, plus with over twenty other organisations located here we are in great company.

“We are keen to bust the myths associated with the traditional insurance broker, offering the personal touch for each of our clients rather than hiding behind emails, instead we want to be approachable.”

HI Commercial is headed up by directors Richard Medforth and Luke Byron.

With 50 years’ experience in business behind them, HI Commercial will support thousands of business owners across East Yorkshire, from a broad range of commercial organisations.

Since its launch last summer, HI Commercial has grown rapidly, and has now announced its office move to ergo.

Mr Byron said: “The building is ideally located for us to get out to visit our clients around Hull and East Yorkshire and we also have a superb place for visitors.”

“Combining our team in one place has been made simple by the ergo team and we made the move over Christmas to minimise disruption to our clients.”

Amanda Hoggart, business centre manager at ergo, said: "We are pleased to welcome HI Commercial to ergo to be part of our connected environment bringing together companies directly involved or working in the supply chain for the renewable and environmental technologies sector.”

HI Commercial joins a cluster of other big-name business names at ergo.

The likes of Siemens Mobility, CATCH, Team Humber Marine Alliance, Greenport and Carbide UK are all based in the centre.

Elsewhere at the Bridgehead Business Park, the doors are expected to open this month on the new £12m Aura Innovation Centre.

Next week, an £8m Porsche showroom on the other side of the business park will also be opened.
