Insurance company Atlanta Group gives new cars away to three lucky employees in festive giveaway

Three lucky employees from insurance-giant Atlanta Group have won a brand new car just in time for Christmas - as part of the company's annual festive giveaway.

Atlanta Group - which is made up of Stoke-on-Trent-based Autonet, Altrincham-based Carole Nash and Swinton Insurance in Salford - has been rewarding its 2,000-strong workforce with some huge prizes throughout December.

The 12 Days of Christmas Roadshow has already seen staff walk away with all-expenses paid holidays, shopping vouchers, a 55 inch 4K TV and a VIP raceday.

But the festive giveaway culminated this week when three employees were each handed the keys to a brand new £12,000 Vauxhall Corsa Griffin.

The lucky winners were Dan Shotton, who works at Autonet, Jim Flavin from Carole Nash and Ahmed Rashid from Swinton Insurance.

Thirty-year-old Dan, of Stoke-on-Trent, told StokeonTrentLive: "At the moment, myself and my partner Beth Caine - who also works at Autonet - only have one car between us so this will be a really big help for us because we have a 10-month-old son called Sebastian too.

"I can't believe my name was picked out. I will give Beth our Nissan Qashqai and I'll take the new one."

Fellow winner Jim Flavin, aged 37 of Winsford, is choosing to give his car to his wife Leigh - because he can't drive.

He said: "My wife always gets on at me to get my license and now there's no excuse. This will be a big incentive for me to learn, but then there will be the argument of who drinks and who drives when we go out!

"I am still in shock about it all. It is an incredibly generous gesture from the company."

Atlanta Group CEO Ian Donaldson said: "Last year we did a giveaway at Christmas  to celebrate our 20th year in business but this year has been a big, big year for us so we wanted to celebrate that with staff from across all of our sites.

"It has been a great year for us and we wanted to share our success with our employees - now I've just got to think about what we're going to do next year."
