The Green Bay Packers stuck with a trend of a run on defensive players and added to an already variable pass rush in Iowa edge rusher Lukas Van Ness.
Van Ness, while never a starter with the Iowa Hawkeyes due to their seniority type of depth chart, was an explosive athlete who dominated when in the rotation. Over the last two seasons, Van Ness racked up 13.5 sacks in his limited role as both an interior and exterior edge rusher.
With an élite athletic profile, Van Ness projects well to the next level. Elite quickness, strength, and motor, he projects extremely well either on the defensive line or outside as an edge rusher for the Packers. They will likely slide him around the defense and will prove to be a versatile weapon for an already dangerous Packers defense.
