Instant analysis of Redskins taking WR Antonio Gandy-Golden in fourth round

With the No. 142 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins have selected WR Antonio Gandy-Golden.

While fireworks were going off in Washington at the start of Day 3 of the draft, thanks to an end of the Trent Williams era in Washington, the Redskins quickly calmed things down and made a solid pick of Gandy-Golden here in the fourth round.

AGG will be a great addition to the roster, and he’ll have a chance to compete for a starting spot right away, playing on the outside opposite Terry McLaurin.

While the Redskins had a great season for developing young WRs in 2019, it’s safe to say that they aren’t 100 percent satisfied with their depth at the position just yet. We know this for sure now after the selection of AGG in the fourth round. While Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims are slotted to occupy the main roles in the offense, Gandy-Golden will absolutely have a chance to step up during this coming training camp and prove that he is worth some looks in the rotation.
