Instant analysis of Ravens selecting RB Justice Hill in 4th round

The Baltimore Ravens are developing a track team on offense. With speedy wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Miles Boykin being selected in the first three rounds, the Ravens are not done with speed as they select Oklahoma State Cowboys running back Justice Hill in the fourth round (No. 113 overall).

At 5-foot-10, weighing 198 pounds, Hill isn’t your typical running back in terms of size, but he is a player who has toughness and displays it well with his superb lack of fumbles. Over the course of three seasons, Hill has only fumbled five times, which is something the Ravens coaching staff loves, especially coach John Harbaugh.

In the open field, Hill is quick and shifty, with his ability to stop on a dime and make defenders miss. When the ball is in Hill’s hands, he makes decisions with no hesitation. He knows where to go with the football. At the same time, Hill would be better served to limit the number of jukes he makes, as some are more unnecessary in the open field.

Overall, Hill is solid value in the fourth round and he is an excellent candidate to be a safety blanket for quarterback Lamar Jackson in terms of check-down passes.
