Instant Analysis: Jets get another versatile lineman in Cameron Clark

Joe Douglas continued to strengthen the Jets offensive line by bringing in Charlotte offensive lineman Cameron Clark, who played left tackle exclusively in college but has experience at center and guard from his high school days.

Clark is another big-bodied lineman at 6-foot-4, 308 pounds, who proved to be a phenomenal run blocker throughout his collegiate career. His hands are among the biggest of linemen in the draft and he has great footwork and balance in the pocket. Clark proved to be very reliable in college with 31 consecutive starts and a school-record 49 career games.

The biggest issues with Clark are his hand placement and penalties – he committed six as a senior. Some will knock his competition against Conference USA defenders, but Clark proved against Clemson he can play against anybody.

Clark projects as a development depth lineman for the Jets who could step in and start at any moment.
