Instant analysis and grade for Washington’s selection of Dyami Brown

The Washington Football Team selected North Carolina wide receiver Dyami Brown at No. 82 overall in the 2021 NFL draft.

Brown is a big play waiting to happen, averaging 20 yards per reception in each of his final two years for the Tar Heels. He brings a different element to Washington’s offense as a true deep threat.

Late in the draft process, there was some buzz about Brown sneaking into the bottom of the first round. While that didn’t happen, Washington landing him at No. 82 overall is a steal. He doesn’t need to come in and immediately start for the WFT, meaning there is no pressure on Brown.

The rookie receiver can carve out a role for Washington in 2021.

Brown was one of the more underrated wide receivers in the 2021 NFL draft. He was productive at a Power Five conference, has good speed, and plays even bigger than his 6-foot-1, 189-pound frame.

I love this pick for Washington in the third round.
