Instagram is DOWN: Frustrated users across the UK unable to refresh feeds

It's one of the most popular apps around, but it seems that Instagram has crashed this afternoon.

According to DownDetector the issues started at 16:09, and are affecting users across the UK, as well as parts of the US.

While Instagram is yet to comment on the issue, of those who reported problems, 84% said they were having problems with the news feed, 10% with log-in, and 5% with the website.

Several frustrated users have also taken to Twitter to vent their concerns.

One user wrote: "Everyone from Insta coming to Twitter to see if it is actually down again for like the 10th time in a month."

Another noted: "Instagram was down 4 days ago and now it’s down again?"

And as per usual, Twitter was awash with hilarious memes and GIFs about the outage.

This isn't the first time that Instagram has crashed in recent weeks. Just five days ago Instagram crashed for users across Europe, with over 8,000 reporting issues.
