Instagram appears to have crashed for users up and down the country this evening (Thursday), leaving thousands of frustrated users.
More than 16,000 people in the UK flocked to Down Detector at around 7pm to note issues with the popular platform.
And scores of people switched over to Twitter to find out what was going on.
One person wrote: "Woooow, so the one time I decide to post, it’s not working."
Another user wrote: "I don't remember if I ever checked Twitter so fast for anything else. #instagramdown."
And someone else said: "Everybody running to twitter to see if Instagram is really down or the wi-fi is not working."
