Instagram has issued a statement as thousands of users reported outages.
According to Down Detector, more than 3000 people have logged problems with the social media platform since 2pm. The social media platform has announced on Twitter it is trying to resolve the problem.
It said: "We're aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We're looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience."
