Hundreds of users across the UK have complained that Instagram is not working.
Most people have complained about the news feed not loading, with others saying their stories and logins have been affected.
Down detector showed a surge in reports just after 7pm today, with more than 1,200 people reporting problems.
Those in North America, South America and the rest of Europe have also reported problems.
As of 10pm, many Twitter users were still complaining that they were having trouble with their news feed, stories and even logging in.
One said: "Instagram down? Right before the election?" and another tweeted to say "My feed hasn't updated in hours".
A third user said: "Is @Instagram down for anyone else, I just get notifications but they don't load and then I get couldn't feed."
Instagram has not yet commented on the problems.
