Instagram users are experiencing issues this afternoon (October 31) as thousands have seen their accounts suddenly suspended with no explanation. The app has said it is 'looking into' the reported issues, which have been impacting many account holders.
Problems began on Monday afternoon and since then, more than 3,000 complaints have been made to global outage site Down Detector. Users have reported being issued with a warning message that their accounts have been suspended, giving them just 30 days to dispute or risk it being 'permanently disabled'.
People have also taken to social media to report being unable to appeal Instagram's decision, resulting in their accounts being logged out and their details - include email and password - not found , reports DailyRecord.

Following the issues, the hashtag #InstagramDown is trending on Twitter, as hundreds are reporting similar issues of being unable to login to their profiles. Instagram has confirmed it is looking into the issues and has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
One person wrote:: "Did anyone else's Instagram just get suspended for no reason? And now Instagram won't even bother to let you appeal it just gives you an error?"
While another asked: "What happened for Instagram ? It has suspended my account for no reason. Is anyone's account been suspended like this for no reason?!"
And another disgruntled user posted: "My account was completely disabled. It had me appeal the decision and then it logged me out and now says my user name or email isn’t found . I’ve been a user since 2012. I have photos I don’t want to lose on Instagram."
In a statement shared on Instagram's Twitter page, it read: "We're aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We're looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience #instagramdown."
