Lily, a pupil at St John’s Academy, said: “During shielding, I’ve been doing lots of dancing the exercise classes to keep me fit, health and strong.”

The 90-second clip also includes advice like putting on an uplifting podcast and going for a walk, baking, not thinking too far ahead, staying in regular contact with family and friends, and setting a routine.

Lily is being treated for a rare form of cancer called Ewing’s sarcoma, which is in the youngster’s lungs.

She has been isolating since attending a Lewis Capaldi concert in mid March.

The advert has come out as shielding rules are being eased.

Shielding is set to be paused on August 1, although those with conditions that out them at extra risk from COVID-19 are still be urged to be cautious.
