Inside Victoria Beckham's ultra-exclusive London life: Dining at Dorian and drinking at Oswald's

Victoria Beckham is not a woman about town. As her Netflix documentary, released October 9, shows us, the 51-year-old fashion designer is a veritable workhorse, spending most of her time on her eponymous brand.

And when she’s not working, she’s a homebody. You’re not likely to see her down your local. As she told the Standard in 2018, she’s “not much of a pub person.” But that didn’t stop her from being carried out of private members’ club Oswald’s after her birthday party last year.

Because in reality, VB has her own London — it’s exclusive, almost entirely in West, and above all… Posh.

From hairstylists and facials to restaurants and her Holland Park home, here’s what Victoria Beckham’s London looks like.

Pub trips to Fitzrovia and Notting Hill

Way back in 2018, Victoria Beckham lent her London lifestyle tips to the Standard’s My London column. Back then, she revealed she’s not much of a pub person, but did have a soft spot for The Cow in Notting Hill.

Pay a trip to this pub and you’re more than likely to see at least one celebrity, with The Times dubbing it “the London pub that’s been attracting the A-list for 30 years” this April. The Cow is famous for its somewhat retro fish dishes, including a bouillabaisse-inspired fish stew, shellfish, pints of prawns, and crab with angel hair pasta.

Beckham has also been spotted at The Lore of the Land in Fitzrovia, where son Cruz Beckham delivered an impromptu musical performance back in 2023. An equally starry destination, the pub is owned by Guy Ritchie, and David Beckham has previously been known to pull a few pints behind the bar.

Facials and blow dries on the regular

Beckham is an expert at keeping up appearances — literally. She’s a huge fan of a facial and has been going to Sarah Chapman for her facials for years. “No really... the best facial and the most amazing products,” she wrote on Instagram in 2022, paired with a picture of her Sarah Chapman goodie bag. Chapman’s client list also includes the Duchess of Sussex, Gigi Hadid and Uma Thurman.

A bespoke facial (because why would Posh get anything but bespoke?) starts from £195. In the same Instagram story, VB highlighted Chapman’s Pep 8 serum, praising its “plumping, collagen-promoting peptides, [that are] great for rejuvenating, smoothing, tightening and radiance-enhancing.”

As well as facials, Beckham is known to use an LED mask every single night (as she once confessed via Instagram Stories) and getting a weekly blow dry. Her most trusted hairstylist is Luke Hersheson, who has his salons in Belgravia, Fitzrovia, and inside Selfridges. And if you want a cut and finish from Hersheson himself, it’ll cost a casual £450.

Spending time at home in Holland Park

Before settling down in Holland Park, Beckham was an international woman of mystery, touring with the Spice Girls and hopping between houses in Manchester, then Madrid, then Los Angeles, all due to David Beckham’s various football contracts.

Then, in 2013, the Beckhams settled on their forever home — a six-bedroom, Grade-II listed property which they bought for £31.5 million. The family didn’t properly settle there until 2016, following an £8m renovation led by celebrity interior designer Rose Uniacke.

The Holland Park mansion boasts a vast basement with a spa, gym and indoor pool, as well as a home cinema, wine cellar, catwalk-style runway, electric clothes rack and nail bar. The mansion houses four floors and three lavish guest bedrooms, as well as a separate, two-storey mews house.

Meals at Dorian and Core by Clare Smyth

Dorian in Notting Hill is widely reported to be the Beckhams’ favourite restaurant — which would make sense, as it’s one of the hottest tables in town. The British bistro holds one Michelin star and is helmed by chef Max Coen, who previously worked at Frantzén in Stockholm and Ikoyi in the West End.

It’s a favourite among the Notting Hill set, with previous attendees including Rita Ora, Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver. The Beckhams dined at Dorian as recently as October 2024 — one of the last known full family outings before the beginning of the much-rumoured Beckham feud.

The Beckhams also appear to hold a penchant for Core by Clare Smyth, where David Beckham chose to host his 50th birthday this year. Much to the disdain of the locals, who issued noise complaints over the raucous celebrations.

Nights out at Oswald’s

If it wasn’t clear from her Netflix documentary, Victoria Beckham is more of a worker than a drinker (though she is partial to a glass of red) — but she does occasionally let her hair down. In which case, it will probably be at Oswald’s, the private members’ club two streets away from her Dover Street flagship store.

You may remember Oswald’s as the place where Victoria Beckham was carried out via piggyback (courtesy of David Beckham) following her 50th birthday celebrations in 2024.

Oswald’s has quite the guest list: Prince William once attended a party there, Princess Eugenie used it as her birthday venue, and Boris and Carrie Johnson go for date nights. Although it also has some less polished regulars: Oswald’s is a favourite of Brexiteers, with Nigel Farage recently raising £1m for Reform UK at a party there this January.

In case you’re thinking what I think you’re thinking, don’t worry, it’s not named after that Oswald.
