Inside Too Hot To Handle's luxurious villa on Mexico's bohemian Pacific coast

Netflix's new reality show Too Hot To Handle was filmed in a lavish villa known as Casa Tau in Mexico.

Located near the little-known coastal village Punta Mita, the enormous 12-bedroom property is set along a coastline where the warm waves lap up on secluded golden beaches.

Although just a short drive from Mexico's surfing hot spot, Sayulita, Casa Tau is nestled in a scarcely developed and rustic location amid dense tropical jungle that is dotted with millionaire mansions.

This secluded destination is the stuff of holiday envy and a prime setting to watch lovelorn hopefuls itch with frustration in the new reality show.

Although the ten romantic hopefuls are crammed into one bedroom for the show, the villa's 12 rooms all boast king-sized beds and are carefully decorated to provide a tranquil, neutral vibe.

One of the bedrooms, located in the guest house, even boasts its own kitchen, ping pong table and a private lounge.

There's also plenty of dining space for the reality stars to tuck into some local Mexican cuisine.

On the kitchen terrace there is a fancy pizza oven that, according to the villa website, is manned by the villa chef.

The shady palapa, lined with cool palm leaves, also offers a rustic dining and bar area and stunning views over looking Mexico's nature.

A third indoor cooking space boasts an enormous central island and seating area that will surely fit the entire cast.

As for the outdoor amenities, there's an incredible infinity pool as well as a private access beach and a jacuzzi that will certainly add for some temptingly steamy moments.

Hosting the show's main events is the central palapa, an enormous outdoor space covered with a thick palm leaf roof.

The lavish area is dotted with white sofas and is just moments away from a dip in the pool.

Netflix's new reality show kicks off on April 17 and promises to bring some much needed entertainment to self-distancing viewers.

Unlike the steamy moments we're used to on ITV's Love Island, the premise of the new show is that kissing and any sexual contact is strictly banned.

Temperatures are bound to be raised during the bikini-clad antics, and it won't be from the sunny Mexican weather.
