Inside tiny £2,578/month studio flat so small you can cook your dinner from the bed

A tiny studio flat has caused quite a stir with its enormous monthly rental cost.

The humble abode, in Linden Gardens, London, was first listed on property web site Rightmove three months ago.

Despite having no room to swing a cat, prospective tenants would need to fork out a whopping £2,578 per month to live in the property.

Described online as 'a stunning luxury studio with high ceilings and a boasting a modern design set on the first floor of a recently renovated period building', photos show an all-in-one living space comprising a lounge/dining area that converts into a bedroom and a miniscule kitchenette.

An adjoining bathroom, meanwhile, consists of a narrow power shower, wash basin and toilet.

There's no space for appliances such as a washing machine, which would force tenants to incur additional costs for laundry services.

And with little to no storage place either, potential movers with more than a few boxes would face serious problems in finding a home for their belongings.

Despite this, the flat is listed as fully furnished, with the listing stating: "includes everything you need down to pots and pans - this is a fully serviced apartment, ideal for busy professionals who simply cannot compromise on quality."

A positive for would-be occupiers, however, is the fact that all bills and WiFi costs are included in the rental price.

The renovated apartment also boasts a "full CCTV system and electronic entry" for residents' added piece of mind, whilst it also has a full time dedicated property manager 'so you can be assured of the highest levels of service'.

Estate agents Hampstead Apartments have specified that "pets are considered" by the property's owners, although smokers are not permitted.

In a bid to entice renters the agency also states that "weekly cleaning" and a "welcome package" services are available.

The property has excellent transport links and is just 0.1 miles from Notting Hill tube station and 0.3 miles from both Bayswater and Queensway.

In addition there are four schools are within 0.2 miles.

There are a number of nearby eateries and trendy bars all within immediate walking distance including Portobello Road's The Sun In Splendour and Farm Girl.

The listing adds: "It is probably one of the very best quiet residential roads in the area that is also very close walking distance to Hyde Park, Notting Hill, High Street Kensington and is on a safe and quiet cul-de-sac."
