Inside time capsule house for sale for first time in 80 years - virtually untouched since 1930s

A house has gone up for sale for the first time in 80 years - and is virtually untouched from when it was first built.

Estate agents have said the house has alcove shelving, ceiling roses and a larder cupboard in the kitchen reminiscent of 1930s interior design.

The home based in the south west of England, boats three bedrooms and a tiered garden at the back, the Bristol Post reports.

And that is not all, the former owners were "keen travellers" and "active" into their centenarian years.

The house on Hengrove Lane in Bristol is being marketed by MG estate agents as "a striking terraced home bursting with potential".

It’s also close to local amenities, a primary school and there's a sports ground in proximity.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two of which are doubles, and a bathroom.

There is a large front garden and a tiered garden at the back.

According to Kat Wills, marketing manager of MG Estate Agents of Whitchurch, the previous owner lived at the house until she was 104.

“The previous owners didn’t have any children but we understand the couple were very active into their old age.

"They were keen travellers and went on many adventures around the world.

“The lady’s husband worked for the BBC and he was still playing tennis into his seventies.

"The lady was apparently a talented musician who studied at the Royal Academy of Music.

"She used to hold piano lessons in the front room.

“The lived in the house from the 1940s. A lot of the décor is actually the original décor from when they moved in.”

The unique house, which looks as if it is stuck in time, is being sold with no chain and the asking price is €340,000 (£285,000), according to the estate agents.
