Trafford Centre car parks have been filling up since stores opened up this morning so retailers can expect a busy afternoon.
Staff in Selfridges were giving away bottled water as queues of customers quickly built up at the entrance.
The Apple store also saw queues of people waiting to get in.
Staff could be seen using a temperature gun to check people's temperatures before allowing them to enter.
Trafford Centre director Alison Niven told the MEN it feels great to be able to welcome customers back into stores.
