Inside the stunning £5m mansion featured on Channel 4's Four in a Bed - including its own 'hideaway cottage'

A £5 million mansion - featured on hit Channel 4 show Four in a Bed - has come on the market, feature a sweeping staircase and breathtaking garden views.

The Edwardian property, located in Hale, boasts eight bedrooms and five bathrooms covering over 8,000 sq ft of accommodation.

Those after a bit of privacy won't be disappointed, with the property sitting in an elevated position amidst 'extremely private' grounds that extend to almost 1.4 acres.

The sale also includes 'Hideaway Cottage', which is a two bed detached property, along with 'The Pool House', a newly constructed property offering almost 3,000 sq ft of modern accommodation.

Pictures have now been released that show the property in all its glory, with highlights including the beautiful open plan kitchen, along with the stunning main bathroom, reports CheshireLive.

A description of Halliwell House on Rightmove reads: "The core living accommodation is arranged around a welcoming wood panelled entrance hall and includes four elegant reception rooms and a beautifully designed open-plan kitchen with high quality Gaggenau appliances.

"The kitchen is adjacent to the formal dining room and both rooms have direct access to a large terrace, which is perfect for al-fresco entertaining, enjoys a south westerly aspect and looks out over the lawned gardens. There is also a ground floor laundry room, shower room and cloaks/wc.

"A sweeping return staircase leads to the first and second floor accommodation that includes five bedroom suites, four of which enjoy breathtaking views over the gardens and roof tops of the neighbouring properties and across the Cheshire Plain.

"At lower ground floor there are extensive basements that currently provide invaluable storage space, however, prospective purchasers may choose to convert them into additional living/leisure space."

The description ends by calling the property "unique", adding that it has everything a home needs to "meet the demands of a modern family life".

Some might recognise the house from Channel 4's Four in a Bed, a show which sees B&B owners take turns to stay in one another's properties, paying what they consider a fair rate.

Halliwell House and its owners, Martin Hulme and Sara Williams, featured on the show back in 2016, with re-runs airing in July 2021 prompting renewed interest for accommodation at the site.

In the years that followed, the site appeared to have been offered as a full house let.

Unfortunately, the property's website is no longer active, the Facebook site hasn't been updated since February last year, and when CheshireLive called the advertised number, the phone was ringing out.
