Inside The Oscar's $126k goodie bags – lavish holidays, sparkling water and surfboard

The Oscars awards sees celebrities go all out to ensure all eyes are on them as they walk the red carpet outside Hollywood's Dolby Theatre before some are gifted a huge goodie bag (suitcase).

Each year, some of the biggest names in the movie industry flock to Hollywood Boulevard and hope to pick up an Academy Award for their work from the previous year.

But while some celebs are grateful to just receive an invitation to the awards ceremony, some of the bigger names including Cate Blanchett are given an eye-watering amount of exclusive gifts.

These include a luxury holiday and liposuction treatment with a world-leading surgeon.

During an appearance on ITV's Lorraine, Hollywood reporter Ross King delved into what a select number of A-listers will be receiving before gracing the red carpet.

Speaking to Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary who is in charge of getting the bags/suitcases together, Ross was told that the total value was over $126,000.

"We've got a $40,00 vacation for them to some place called The Lifestyle," Lash explained before adding: "This is a ten-acre estate in Canada, we've got a $9,000 trip to Italy for them.

"This is a lighthouse that's been converted into a luxury hotel for them and seven friends.

"We've got liposuction for them with Dr Thomas Su – the list goes on and on, so many great things."

Other items include lavish watches, jewellery, foot spas, a surfboard, health and wellness products, organic coconut water, books, medical test, San Pellegrino water and wine.

But when asked whether celebrities or their representatives go to collect their suitcases of items, he was told: "This is two suitcases full of products that show up at their doorstep.

"So, it really depends where they want them – we'll even ship them. Last year, Olivia Colman wanted hers sent to her residence outside of London.

"We got it shipped there."

Ross was later informed that it wasn't just huge brands who were placing items in the suitcases but also smaller companies who were able to say mega-stars owned their products.

Lash added: "These brands are leveraging Cate Blanchett's name to say 'Oh, I created this gorgeous bracelet for Cate Blanchett', they will post this on their Instagram – they have the power to transform the trajectory of a brand just by posting about it or being seen at a resort."
