‘Inside the NBA’ crew was predictably terrible at answering real ‘Jeopardy!’ questions

James Holzhauer is winning at Jeopardy! like no contestant ever has. He’s won more than a million dollars in a little more than two weeks, and between his strategy and trivia knowledge, he is absolutely brilliant at the game show.

Unsurprisingly, the Inside the NBA crew is not.

With Ernie Johnson standing in as Alex Trebek, the gang played its own version of Jeopardy! with Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith as the contestants, and their performance was hilariously terrible.

Their mock game featured real questions from Jeopardy!, and instead of money, the prizes were things like Four Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, 100 Bowties, Five Burnt Steaks and Free Knee Surgery. They had real buzzers and even a Final Jeopardy question.

But Chuck got the Overeaters Anonymous question correct in the Organizations category, while Shaq won the Rhyming Phrases question right with the Fat Cats answer.

And then it all went downhill, particularly when they were challenged by a historical geography clue and Smith said Spain was in southeastern Europe while Barkley answered Wonder Woman to the same question. Just terrible but also hysterical.

Don’t quit your day job, guys. But also keep making ridiculous television like this.
