Inside the luxury ‘super ships’ inspired by Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich

  • Uniworld has revealed the first images of two new luxury river cruise ships, SS Audrey and SS Marlene, which are scheduled to launch in 2027.
  • These 'super ships' are designed with interiors and decor inspired by the iconic actresses Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich, aiming to offer five-star service and boutique hotel-style experiences.
  • The SS Audrey, drawing inspiration from Hepburn's style, features green, gold, and blue interiors, accommodates 154 guests, and will commence sailing on 16 April 2027 on the 'Remarkable Rhine & Historic Holland' itinerary, with prices starting from £3,104 per person.
  • The SS Marlene, paying tribute to Dietrich, incorporates warm tan, gold, pink, red, and blue tones, also accommodates 154 guests, and begins sailing on 27 March 2027 on the 'Tulips & Windmills' itinerary, with prices from £3,419 per person.
  • In addition to these, Uniworld will also introduce the SS São Rafael in 2027 for Portugal's Douro River and the Aqua Blu yacht for Indonesian and Singaporean itineraries.
