Sandy Lane is an exclusive resort in Barbados which is frequented by celebrities from all over the world.
It is co-owned by Irish businessmen JP McManus, Dermot Desmond and three others, who purchased the hotel over 20 years ago.
Tiger Woods, a close friend of McManus, married his ex-wife Elin Nordegren at the resort in 2004, with the ceremony reportedly costing more than €1.2million.
Wayne Rooney has also stayed at the resort and was pictured with his eldest son Kai on a jet ski there in 2019.
The hotel has 113 rooms and suites and is described as having "a stunning private villa, exceptional golf, gourmet dining, an outstanding spa, superb sports facilities and finally, an exceptional level of warm Barbadian hospitality".
The villa has five bedrooms, with the resort also boasting a 47,000sq ft spa, four restaurants, seven bars and three golf courses.
Rooms begin at over €1,000 per night, with a penthouse room costing almost €4,200 a night.
Photos on the hotel's website and social media accounts show its golden beaches, luxurious golf courses, fancy restaurants and huge swimming pool.
On how the Limerick native and Desmond came to own the hotel, it says on the Sandy Lane website: "Two Irishmen, who had known the hotel for many years, felt they could not let it fall into the hands of a multinational, and so it was Dermot Desmond and JP McManus together with three partners who became the new owners of Sandy Lane. The hotel’s new owners had just one goal in mind; to create the most distinguished address in the Caribbean and to elevate hotel luxury to a whole new level.
"This was no mean feat, and although changes would have to be made, the overall design and ambiance of the “old” Sandy Lane had to be preserved. The decision was taken to demolish the hotel and rebuild. Sandy Lane closed for three years on April 25, 1998.
"The plans for the new Sandy Lane were extraordinary. An underground engineering plant to accommodate all back of house services, a desalination plant, the new Spa and pool and 45 holes of world championship golf, with two courses designed by Tom Fazio. The hotel re-opened on March 17, 2001 on St. Patrick’s Day."

There was tragedy near the hotel last Christmas when McManus' daughter-in-law passed away suddenly.
Emma McManus, the wife of the businessman's son John Emma McManus, died on December 30.
The mother of three, 40, a Trinity College graduate, and daughter of former Irish tennis star Peter and Paula Ledbetter, had been enjoying post-Christmas festivities with loved ones before she suddenly complained of feeling unwell.
A memorial service was held for her at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens in January.
