Inside the Love Island casting process as producers hunt for last-minute contestants

Love Island 2019 producers are still looking for last-minute contestants to join the show days before filming is due to kick off.

ITV bosses have given a final call for applicants as they prepare to close casting and finalise the list of Islanders for the 2019 series.

It was previously revealed that casting goes down to the wire, with producers still picking contestants right up until the deadline.

This year, it closes on April 30 so there's still time to get your application in.

All you need to do is fill in an online form, and add a short video about yourself.

You also need to add two recent pictures of yourself andf answer a number of questions including about sexual orientation

ITV bosses warn potential Islanders not to use filters on their videos otherwise their application will be rejected.

Caroline Flack has even confirmed she's about to meet the cast as she's already started work on promos for the show.

Previous winner Kem Cetinay recently opened up about the process in which contestants get picked.

During an appearance on This Morning, he said: "They bring more than the original cast out there. They change it every day.

"Amber [Davies] wasn’t meant to go in and they changed it at the last minute. They will decide as you’re out there who fits it at the time...

"I knew really early. I knew eight weeks before the show started. I was training and dieting,” says Kem.

"Chris [Hughes] said he saw the first show with me in it then flew out the next day. He didn’t have a clue."
