ITV viewers were shocked by tonight's new show The Best Little Prison In Britain?
The documentary series goes behind the walls of a most extraordinary small prison - on the Isle of Man - where doing time is unlike anywhere else in the British Isles.
The Isle of Man, with a population of 85,000 is a self-governing island with its own legal system and prison regime, only has one jail, and it is a one-stop shop for all offenders convicted there.

Because of the island’s small population many of the prisoners and the staff already know each other, and men, women and youths are banged up together.
This show paints a picture of how girlfriends and boyfriends, even generations of the same family, serve sentences next door to each other.

However, viewers were shocked that unlike most UK jails, all prisoners have single cells and are allowed out of them for up to seven hours a day.
There are six wings which include a women’s wing, an education centre, sports hall, gardens, a gym - and a 'shop'.
This led to some viewers describing it as a "holiday home" on Twitter.

One viewer said: "Just booked next years hols at the best little prison on the Isle of Man. Can't wait - pure luxury! Even bring all the family!"
Joshua tweeted: "A store full of Mars Bars. How charming. The Best Little Prison in Britain?"
Paula said: "More like a holiday camp!"
And Beth tweeted: "Anyone else watching “the best little prison in Britain?” on ITV? It looks like a summer camp. I want to go."
