A historic country house in Cheshire has arrived on the market for close to £2 million.
The Grade II-listed Hulme Hall, on Hulme Hall Lane in Allostock, Knutsford, is for sale for £1,895,000 after undergoing a huge restoration thanks to English Heritage. The property, situated on a three-acre plot, boasts seven bedrooms and is believed to originate as far back as the 15th century.
It also features four reception rooms, five bathrooms and a two-storey garage with space to house five cars, reports Cheshire Live. Hulme Hall underwent a large-scale redevelopment and restoration back in 2014 under the guidance of English Heritage and the Archaeological Society, as a result of its listed status and significance.

The house is believed to have been the former ancestral seat of both The Grosvenor and The Shakerley families, both of whom were prominent within Cheshire.
But during its long history, the house, which is situated at the end of a long private driveway, fell into disrepair.
The restoration work in 2014 saw Hulme Hall transformed into a 'magnificent' three-storey country home with modern elements 'sitting comfortably' alongside period features.
Each of the bedrooms boasts ‘far reaching views’ of the nearby open fields.

The property was constructed in brown brick, under a stone and Welsh slate roof and also features a moat with a stone bridge.
The house is on the market with Cheshire-based estate agents Wright Marshall.
The estate agency says: “Hulme Hall has been tastefully remodelled and improved, with modern elements sitting comfortably alongside its stunning period features.”
The listing adds: “Entered though the magnificent formal dining hall with attractive stone flagged flooring, leading to the wide array of living and entertaining space.
“There is a splendid living room with large floor to ceiling windows overlooking the spectacular grounds and moat, with a second lounge, sitting room, modern kitchen breakfast room, cloakroom and an office completing the ground floor accommodation.
“To the first floor there are four large bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, including a master suite with a dressing room.
“From the first floor landing, stairs lead to the top floor where there are three more bedrooms and a family bathroom.
“Each of the rooms enjoys far reaching views across the grounds and open fields beyond.”
