The ECHO has taken a look inside a Merseyside property which looks like it's been plucked from a period drama, and could now be yours for a steal.
The five-bedroom end of terrace dwelling in Oxton on the Wirral is located on Village Road, where prices have rocketed.
Houses on Village Road had an overall average price of £850,000 in the last year, a massive 85% more than the year before. This one is up for grabs for just £575,000.

The property's charming exterior is peppered with ornate coving, stone archways, pillars and a rich royal blue front door that really set the tone for inside.

The owners have accentuated the home's history with their choice of décor; extravagant curtains drape around large sash windows, with Chesterfield-style sofas framing the historic fireplace and mid-century furniture in the lounge.
Accommodation is arranged over four floors. The ground floor comprises two reception rooms and a WC, and provides access to the kitchen, pantry and utility room, which is located on the lower ground floor.

The first floor has two bedrooms, each of which are en-suite. Throughout, the home has an airy feel due to its massive windows which are elegantly draped in nets. The master is also decorated in floor to ceiling powder blue, offsetting the cream furniture.
The second floor has three more bedrooms, the largest of which is equipped with its own kitchenette and fireplace to create a makeshift seating area. The space could easily be converted into a separate living space.

To the rear is an oasis of mature shrubs, flowers and trees that have helped create a relaxing patio area.
The house is being marketed by estate agents Bettermove.
